Full redesign + smart search

[ 02 ] THE CHALLENGE

A travel-agency site that hid the offers from customers

TravelPro had a decade of expertise and a website that didn't show it. Customers couldn't filter offers and expired listings stayed live for weeks.

▸ The problem

TravelPro plans golf vacations across the world and had been doing it well for over a decade. The website didn't reflect any of that. It was inaccessible for the basics: no date filter, no region filter, no way for a customer to narrow down hundreds of offers to the trip they actually wanted.

Expired offers had to be removed by hand. Listings would sit live for weeks past their end date, surfacing in search and frustrating customers who clicked through to find a dead offer. The team spent hours every week on listing hygiene that should have been automated.

The brief: a new website that portrays the level of golf-travel services TravelPro delivers, with the smart filters and trust signals a high-consideration purchase needs.

[ 03 ] WHAT WE BUILT

A site that helps customers and the team in equal measure

Smart search, integrated ratings, ambient information, and the small UX touches that move conversion.

▸ Feature

Smart Search

Filtering by date and region, the two filters customers always asked for and the legacy site couldn't do. Pick a travel window, pick a region, get only the trips that match.

▸ Feature

Hotel Ratings via Holidaycheck

Trustworthy hotel ratings pulled from Holidaycheck and displayed inline on offers. Customers see the social proof in context, not on a separate site.

▸ Feature

Weather Forecast Widget

Live weather for each destination. Small touch, big effect on conversion when someone's deciding between two trips.

▸ Feature

Automatic Offer Expiration

Expired offers fall off the site automatically. No more manual admin work, no more outdated listings embarrassing the brand.

▸ Feature

Google Maps Integration

Each destination shown on an interactive map. Customers explore visually, not via dropdown menus.

▸ Feature

Favorite Offers

Bookmark offers to come back to later. Multi-session shopping for the high-consideration travel purchase.

[ 04 ] OUTCOMES

A site that finally matches the service

What changed after the redesign launched.

Professional presence

From a site that turned prospects away to one that closes inquiries from the first visit.

Discoverability

Smart search and proper filtering surfaced offers the legacy site hid behind a clunky UX.

Zero manual admin

Expired offers auto-remove. The team focuses on planning trips, not maintaining listings.

[ 05 ] TECH STACK

WordPress, engineered like a product

A custom theme and purpose-built plugins on top of the CMS the team already knew, plus the third-party integrations a travel site needs to feel trustworthy.

WordPress

The CMS the team already knew, with admin fields shaped around how they actually sell trips. Nobody had to learn a new tool to publish an offer.

Custom theme

Built from scratch, no page builder. Every template written for this site, so the markup stays lean and the design ships as designed.

Custom plugins

Search filters, the offer expiration job, and the third-party integrations live in purpose-built PHP plugins, not theme hacks. Core updates don't break them.

Holidaycheck API

Trusted hotel rating data integrated directly into offer pages. Real reviews where customers need them.

Google Maps

Interactive destination maps with custom styling. Standard tool, deployed with intention.

Weather API

Live forecast for each destination, refreshed throughout the day so the data is never stale.
